2013 New York Yankees Luncheon

Every child needs a champion to believe in, and the New York Yankees will once again demonstrate that they are true champions of the community.  Each year during Spring Training, the New York Yankees host the annual New York Yankees Luncheon benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay.  This popular event has raised more than $3.9 million to provide a better future to the youth of Tampa Bay.

 

The event features a 25 minute autograph session with all of the current New York Yankee players and coaches, as well as Yankee legends.  Following the autograph session is a luncheon and program featuring the Yankees and youth from area Clubs.  All of the players are contractually obligated to attend this event; however, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and the New York Yankees do not guarantee the attendance of any player.  In addition to providing a unique opportunity to meet the Yankees players and coaches, the luncheon includes exclusive chances to bid on autographed items and Yankees memorabilia.  Some of the popular items offered in prior years included a trip to the All Star Game and Home Run Derby, box seats and airfare to a three game series in New York.

 

Important Security Information

The New York Yankees Security and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office provide security for the event.  We begin the security check approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours prior to the Luncheon.  At this time, guests will enter a foyer area where access will be restricted.  Guests will not be able to leave the secure area once admitted.  Please plan ahead for this.  The ballroom doors are opened at 11:30 and this begins the autograph signing period.

The Boys & Girls Clubs will not be responsible for line control or security for any persons arriving before 10:00 a.m.  Holding places in line is not permitted.  Your spot in line represents only yourself.  Violators will be escorted out of the event by security.  The event is in a city facility and all patrons must follow city rules and the city reserves the right to ask anybody to leave.  The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and the New York Yankees will deem all decisions by the city as final.

**NO FIREARMS ALLOWED AT THIS EVENT.**

 

 

There will be a “ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY” for pushing, cursing and arguing.  The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will provide security for the event and anyone caught running or pushing others will be removed from the ballroom immediately.  Ejection from the event will be at the discretion of the staff and will not be debated.  Children under five are not allowed.  No early entrance is allowed for children or special needs (except guests at Hall of Fame tables).  Special needs guests will enter a different entrance for the safety of all guests.  Any attempt by patrons to alter tickets, enter in to restricted areas or use tickets from previous years will constitute fraud and will be handed over to law enforcement.

 

All guests will enter through security and all bags will be checked.  No bats will be allowed into the secure area.  Please bring other items such as jerseys, baseballs and photos that you would like autographed.  We will have official major league baseballs and other items for sale that day.  No large bags will be allowed into the ballroom.
