YBL Parent Expectations

Throughout the duration of this season there will be moments you will want to defend your child. As we join forces to provide a class act service to your child, the BGCC would like to suggest some expectations to help you through the development and competitive nature of youth sports.

1.       -The children are developing and taking after what their parents do and say. Please refrain from using negative language and attacking any personnel at the gym at ALL times. Doing so may result in your departure from the facility.

2.      - The referees are here to help, NOT create a disadvantage for your child. Each referee will officiate the contests to the best of his or her abilities. Please do not attack the referees and suggest they are being one sided. Doing so may result in your departure from the facility.

3.      - The scores table is not trying to sabotage any of the contests so that one team comes out a winner over another. Please try to limit your approach to the scores table. If you MUST, then please do so in a calm manner and suggest your concern. You will not be allowed to raise your voice or attack the scores table in any manner. Doing so may result in your departure from the facility.

4.      -This league may possess young athletes that are more advanced than yours. This does not mean they are doing anything illegal when they compete. It simply means they understand body control and movement better and may slightly overwhelm others with his or her abilities.

5.      - The BGCC expects each and every parent/spectator to use encouraging words in an encouraging manner. If you disagree with this, then your child should be playing in a more competitive league. This is a developmental league. The main goal is to teach the basics and create opportunities for your young athlete to be successful.
