MEET TAYLOR
 2012 YOUTH OF THE YEAR
TAYLOR JOHNSON. Age 12
Bright. Energetic. Outgoing. Confident. Funny. Trustworthy. Kind. This is Taylor Johnson!
Since joining our Boys & Girls Club six years ago at the age six, Taylor has been involved
in almost every aspect of the Club on a daily basis and she has won the love and respect of members and staff alike. Taylor loves a challenge. She has been a Junior Staff member and currently belongs to
our Torch Club where her leadership skills shine. She works in the Club snack bar and helps raise funds for Torch Club community projects, leads tours of the Club with staff, and was appointed as a “Kid Kaptain” for a committee of Board members during our annual One Campaign fundraising drive in 2010. Taylor was the inspiration for her team raising over $10,000! Taylor’s love of sports has been nurtured at the Club where she plays indoor soccer and
basketball and has won our MVP and Sportsmanship awards. But asked what her favorite
Club activity is, she will tell you it’s Smart Girls. “It is important to me because I love who I am,
and when I am involved in this program I get to celebrate being ME!” For all she is and all she
brings to the Club, we celebrate her, too!
