“Helping kids who need us the most achieve GREAT Futures!”
For 27 years, the Great Futures Dinner has been a tradition and serves as Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston’s cornerstone event that unites individuals of influence and affluence, corporate partners, top leaders and philanthropic organizations in a joint effort to help youth who need us most.
This premier, annual event raises critical funds to support the overall mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. This year, through our 15 Clubs located throughout the Greater Houston region, BGCGH will provide more than 12,000 six to 17-year old at-risk youth with evidence-based programming after school and during the summer.
Why GREAT Futures Start Here:
Too often and too many at-risk young people are deprived of opportunities to be better—better students, better friends, better members of society, and better role models. They are youth with unrealized potential who need someone to believe in them and give them a chance to succeed. Boys & Girls Clubs provide the resources and support to help them achieve GREAT Futures.
- Club members graduate from high school at a rate of 87%, compared to the national
average of 66%.
- In Club neighborhoods, incidences of substance abuse arrests are cut by as much as 50%.
- Of at-risk youth referred to Clubs, 94% have no further encounter with law enforcement.
Our supporters are those who make a commitment to stand with, by, and for young people. They are committed to making a difference in the lives of young people, and they believe in the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. Join our efforts today by participating in this time-honored event.
