PCH Rules
PCH D-League Rules
- Each player must play a minimum of half the game.
- The games will consist of four 10 minute running clock quarters.
- Substitutions will only be allowed at 5 minutes at each quarter. (K-1st grade Division Only) 2nd -8th grade Divisions substitutions are made on any dead ball.
- 1 minute between quarters
- 3 minute half time.
- Two 30 second timeouts per half (1st half timeouts do not carry over to 2nd half)
- Teams may play either half court zone or half court man to man defense.
- There will be no full court pressure at ALL for the K-3rd division.
- Mercy Rule: If a team is winning by more than 15 points there will be no fast breaks against the losing team.
- It is the coaches responsibility to teach the rules of the game. There are 3 key points we want to implement to our players this season. (Dribbling the basketball, not traveling, not double dribbling). This season the officiating will be a little less lenient on these calls.
- K-1st grade division only. A player can only make a steal if the ball is in the air. (No stealing off the dribble)
- 2nd-6th grade Division will be officiated with as a regular basketball game.
- K-1st will use 8 foot rims and use 28.5 basketballs. 2nd-5th will use 10ft rims and use 28.5 basketballs
- K-1st home team will start with ball in the first and fourth quarters. Away team will start with the ball in the second and third quarters.
- 2nd-8th will have a jump ball at the beginning of the game.
- Rough and dirty play will not be tolerated
- Coaches, players, & spectators must conduct themselves with the best example of sportsmanship at all times.
