Board, and Peggy are long time supporters of the Boys & Girls Clubs of York County. Volunteers, philanthropists, and advocates for York County - The Williams, along with their children David and Alice, have made lifelong commitments to children in York County, making countless contributions of time, talents, and resources. Their leadership and service have made an permanent mark on York County. |
 | ZIKERIA SHANNON 2015 YOUTH OF THE YEAR Congratulations to our 2015 Youth of the Year winner, Zikeria Shannon! The Youth of the Year award is the highest honor bestowed upon Boys & Girls Club members. She has been a member of our Teen Center for two years and is a sophomore at Northwestern High School. Established in 1947, Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program for Club members, promoting service to Club, community and family; academic success; strong moral character; life goals; and poise and public speaking ability. The program is most effective when used as a year-round tool for fostering young people’s character, personal growth and leadership qualities. Zikeria is a true example of what it means to be a Boys & Girls Club member demonstrating strong academic success, moral character and healthy lifestyles and we could not be more proud to have her represent the Boys & Girls Clubs of York County at the state Youth of the Year competition. |
