Head Coach: Chris Steilen

Raised in Southern California, I began golfing at the young age of 8. I played 4 years at Carlsbad High School 2001-2004. Taking the lessons I learned from my coach David Emerick, I took my talents to Palomar Community College where I played 3 years of college golf 2008-2010. After leaving Palomar, I have worked in the golf industry and continued to work on my game. While on the path to my ultimate goal of playing on the PGATour, I continue to play in various amateur events, including SCGA, USGA and Golden State Tour events. When not on the golf course, you can find me on the disc golf course!

 Golf Accomplishments:

  • Low 18 hole score – 63 @ El Camino Country Club
  • 2009 – All Conference First Team Orange Empire Conference
  • 2010 – All Southern California Regional First Team

 My goal for this years Valley Viking Golf team is to HAVE FUN! This is a sport that you can play for the rest of your lives, so I look forward to helping these young student athletes improve their skill sets and enjoy this beautiful game for years to come!

Where: Practice will be at Rancho Carlsbad. Matches will be at various golf courses in North County San Diego.

Commitment: Practice once a week and matches once a week.

* Golf clubs and golf balls NOT included.
* There are no refunds after September 20, 2014. 
* Carmel Valley, Diegueno, Earl Warren, Oak Crest, and RSF begin middle school at 7th grade. Competitive advantage typically favors their JV teams.
