Evening Under the Stars 2011

This black-tie optional swing dance is held under the stars at the Harris Pavillion in Old Town Manassas on the second Saturday of September each year. This romantic evening offers the sounds of Doc Scantlin and the Imperial Palms Orchestra with Chou Chou and the Girlfriends singing and dancing in period costumes of the 20's, 30's and 40's. 

There are tastes of cuisine from nearly 30 restaurants, a cash bar and more than 100 items on the silent auction.  This elegant event was started in 1998 and draws between 700 and 1000 people.  There is a cash bar and all proceeds benefit the CASA program.

  6:30 PM Come early and enjoy the Red Carpet Reception sponsored by Duvall Wheeler, CPAs with free wine tasting by La Grange & Vint Hill Wineries and a cooking demonstration with passed hors d'oeuvres provided by A La’ Carte. 

 “Everything Redskins Sale Tent” a tribute to the late, Margie Day and her daughter, Katie Dorr’s, generous donation from Two Days Gifts to benefit the children

  Rolling Silent Auction, literally 1 minute when each table is presented at the dance floor to make a final bid

“Shadow Children” Exhibit 430 artistic representations of the children we serve that have been created by members of our community will be displayed and available for sponsorship.
