It Just Takes One

We keep membership dues low so every child can access a Club. Making a gift to the One Campaign provides safe and fun opportunities for kids in our community, in positive environments after school and in summer at our five locations in Greater Portland and Lewiston/Auburn.

One day...in the life of a child can make a huge impact on his/her future.

  • More than 2,500 youth served each year
  • Approximately 70% of our members live at or below the poverty level and/or come from single-parent families
  • 87% of members said they feel better about their future since joining the Clubs
  • 57% of alumni say that participating in a Club “saved my life”

One caring adult...can create an unbreakable bond with a vulnerable child that will last throughout his or her lifetime.

Alumni members include Stan Bennett of Oakhurst Dairy, Dick Lucas of KeyBank of Maine and Joan Benoit Samuelson, Olympic Gold Medalist Marthoner.

One Boys & Girls Club...can offer hope to an entire neighborhood.

The Auburn/Lewiston Clubhouse serves a daily attendance of more than 70 kids and teens. Our newest location in Sagamore Village now serves more than 100 members ages 5-12 in the community.

One gift...from you can open the door to a brighter tomorrow for more of our children.

Your gift can help to serve more young people as we build on our locations and programs.

“The Clubs mean something different to each child who steps through our doors – help with homework, an adult to listen, time with friends, a healthy snack – and sometimes it’s just plain fun and games. For adults, the Clubs are important because they provide a safe haven for their sons and daughters.”
