CASA to CASA: Biking Together to End Abuse
|
The CASA to CASA Biking Fundraiser has been organized by six Oral Roberts University students who wish to raise awareness and financial support for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) agencies in the Kansas City metropolitan area and in Tulsa, Oklahoma. These students: Nick Wagoner, Israel Richardson, Jake Adams, Troy Gerrard, David Laing and Liam O'Hara will ride 300 miles in 3 days as they travel between the Kansas City CASA offices and the Tulsa CASA office. This ride will take place over the Labor Day weekend (September 4th - 6th, 2010).
The students hope to raise money and awareness for CASA, but more importantly they hope to inspire the CASA case workers who sacrifice and volunteer their time and energy to make a lasting impression and difference in a child's life. They also hope to inspire every child who has been abused or neglected and needs a home, to let them know that they are heard and that there is hope and help.
You can help these students and CASA children by sponsoring their efforts. Giving levels are listed below. If you would prefer to give by mail, please complete our sponsorship form. Questions? Contact alyssa.perbeck@jocogov.org or call 913.715.4035. Thank you for your help!
