Flocking 2011
Flock your Friends Yard!
As part of the 15th annual ROOFSIT FOR CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION, flocks of Blue Flamingos landed in St. Joseph County, Indiana for a donation of $50.
Annually, an average of 50 children die in Indiana as a result of abuse or neglect.
The Flock will be in St. Joseph County Indiana for the entire month of June, and will visit the village of Berrien Springs and city of St. Joe in Michigan the week of Roofsit (June 20-24).
The blue flamingo Flocks had enjoyed their time here in 2010. They had really seen the sights, and visited over 80 homes and businesses of some really caring people with a great sense of humor.
“The outpouring of support for the kids here, the hope of ending the cycle of child abuse while offering education and resources for the kids, well, we love this town,” says Fred Flamingo, Blue Flock spokesbird. “After this first successful visit to Northern Indiana, we have collectively decided that we will return again next year, and hope to visit some of our new friends.”
Note that the Flock is very busy, and may take a few days to find their new homes!
