The Youth of the Year Journey begins when the candidates decide to accept the challenge to rise above their circumstances andmake positive changes in their lives, in their Club, and in their community.

Whether mentoring younger Club members, participating in community projects, or developing leadership skills, these young people lead by example and are role models for their peers and younger Club members.

The Youth of the Year Program is an opportunity for staff at the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County, as well as the community, to recognize the outstanding service of these young people. This program extends beyond our local community to include a state, then regional competition in which five regional finalists travel to the White House in Washington, D.C. to meet with Congress and the President of the United States.

The Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County, along with everyone in our community, proudly salute these outstanding youth.

Be inspired by the power that each youth has to rise above circumstance and gain the skills to become a compassionate leader with a willingness to serve.
