Most of the children we serve are on their own after the school day ends. Youth need access to a safe, structured place to go after school. Teens who are unsupervised after the school day are nearly three times more likely to skip classes and are also more likely to use drugs, drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, and get arrested.

Your gift helps support our Power Hour homework help and tutoring program for over 100 children that attend the Boys & Girls Clubs of Binghamton every day. Your donation directly impacts our ability to help youth succeed in school. Our goal is to have every child that walks through our door graduate from high school with a plan for the future.

Childhood obesity is on the rise. We all have a role in making sure our young people adopt lifelong, healthy lifestyles that include physical activity and a balanced diet.

Your gift helps us conduct our Triple Play program, which encompasses caring for the mind, body, and soul. Triple Play is a dynamic wellness program currently offered at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Binghamton that engages members in eating right, keeping fit, and forming positive relationships as part of a healthy lifestyle. The goal of the Triple Play program is to improve Club members’ knowledge of healthy habits, increase the number of hours per day they participate in physical activity, and strengthen their ability to engage in positive relationships.
Problem
To achieve success in the workplace today, children must master and effectively use technology. Without effective computer training, our youth will miss opportunities for educational and career advancement.

Your gift helps purchase software and maintain our computer lab. Club Members will learn to type, learn Microsoft Office programs, and navigate the internet.
Problem
Despite their ability to build self confidence and provide an outlet for self expression, arts programs are disappearing from the lives of many young people as schools struggle with budget cuts.
Your Gift
Your gift helps purchase a variety of arts-related supplies. This program enables our Club members to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the fine arts, performing arts, creative writing, music, etc.
