Thank you for your interest in the Boys & Girls Club after school program.  Our Club is a place that both parents and children can appreciate.  We provide quality programs that not only educate children but provide them with a sense of belonging and value.  Our committed staff work hard to offer every child an atmosphere that cultivates their unique interests and talents.

Club membership is available for children ages 6-18 years old.   Children may attend the Club the first of the month in which they turn 6 years old.

Please Note:  Our Burck Street After School program site is closed at this time. Please check back regularly to see if new spaces have opened up. (8/10/15)

All registrations must be made online (even if you are a returning member). Will will no longer be accepting paper applications.  If you do not have access to a computer at home, you may visit our Administrative Office and complete the application on our registration computer.

Your child may attend Club after you have paid your membership fee (non-refundable $15), registered, and completed the online membership application (link is provided in your membership fee email receipt).  During the first week of attendance, you will also be required to make your first program fee payment and will be  provided with additional paperwork that will require your signature.  All forms must be completed and submitted within the first week in order for the member to continue attending the Club.

The fee for our program is $350 per school year or $35/month.   We offer a one month credit if the entire program fee is paid prior to the beginning of the school year.  Program fees may also be paid on a monthly basis.  We offer a $5 per month, per member discount for multiple children, in the same family, attending the Club.   Financial assistance is available on a case-by-case basis with proper documentation (W-2 or current tax forms and financial aid application).

All program fees are due by the 1st of the month and by no later than the 7th of the month.  Payments made on the 8th of the month or later will incur a $5 late fee.   Effective with the 2014-2015 school year, a $5 late fee will be applied for each week that the monthly program fee is overdue.  Burck Street members with an overdue balance will not be permitted to board the Boys & Girls Club bus and will not be permitted to attend Club until full payment has been made of the overdue balance.  Middle School members with an overdue balance will not be permitted to attend Club until the balance has been paid in full.  If an account becomes more than 2 weeks overdue, members will forfeit their space in the program.

Program fees can be paid via cash, check (payable to BGCFC) and credit card in our Administrative Office or mailed to 413 Burck Street Frederick MD 21701, or via credit card online at our website.

Clubs open immediately after-school and close at 6:30 PM (except for our Thurmont Middle School site which closes at 5:30pm).  The Burck Street site provides transportation for the following elementary schools:  Lincoln, Ballenger Creek, North Frederick, Parkway, Orchard Grove and Ballenger Creek Middle School.  Space permitting, we accept members from other Frederick County elementary schools but at this time we cannot provide transportation.

We follow the Frederick County Public School (FCPS) schedule with regards to school closures and early/late dismissals.   Our Burck Street center is open on many of the days that FCPS is closed.  A $15 drop in fee is charged per day per member (no discounts for multiple members in the same family) and you must sign up and pay the fee prior to your child attending on those days.  When FCPS has a weather related closing, the Club will determine on a case-by-case basis whether we will be open.

Our middle school sites (Crestwood, Monocacy, Gov. Thomas Johnson, Thurmont and West Frederick) are closed on days that FCPS is closed.  On days that FCPS has a scheduled early dismissal, the middle school sites will begin at that early dismissal time.  On the days that FCPS closes for a non-scheduled early dismissal (weather related or other) the middle school sites will not be open.

At all our sites, we provide an after-school snack, recreation time, Power Hour (homework assistance), enrichment time and a variety of exciting programs for children of all ages.   Members will be provided with community service opportunities and field trips through out the year.

A wait list is provided for sites with limited new registrations.   In the event that a space opens at your site, you will be contacted at the phone number or email address you provided.   Please feel free to contact our office at 301-600-1875, if you have any additional questions.
