Evan has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club of the South Coast Area for over 4 years. Evan feels that the Boys & Girls Club has made a difference to his life by helping him learn how to express his feelings in a positive way. He has several mentors at the Club and feels that each and every Staff member has influenced his life at one time or another. He enjoys the freedom that the Boys & Girls Club gives him and he like to make his own schedule. |

Because of all the programs offered at the Boys & Girls Club, Evan has flourished and developed as an active Club member. "The program that helped me personally has got to be Smart Moves."," stated Evan. "Smart Moves teaches me stuff about drugs and smoking, as well as looking forward to my future and dreams." When Evan first arrived at the Boys & Girls Club he would find himself in trouble a lot. He had a hard time adapting to his environment and making friends was not an easy task. Over the past 4 years, our staff has watched Evan grow into a remarkable young man who achieves not only in school, but socially as well. He participates in several programs, including Junior Staff, Smart Moves, the Computer Lab and all activities in the Gym. Evan is a great example of a member that has gained so much from belonging to the Boys & Girls Club. According Evan, he is always willing to help others and he has learned to be respectful and responsible. Evan is an outstanding young man who is helpful and always puts more attention on the needs of others. |
