Geovanny has been a member at the Boys & Girls Club of the South Coasy Area for over 2 years. When asked why the Boys & Girls Club is important to you, Geovanny proudly replies, "The Club helps me with EVERYTHING!" He also shares that he feels safe and taken care of when ever he is at the Club. "It's my home away from home." |

The Boys & Girls Club provides many after school, youth development programs and activities...and Geovanny takes advantage of them all! "I never get bored at the Club," Geovanny stated, "I like it here because there are so many kids and it is easy to make friends." Not only has Geovanni improved his social skills, he credits the Clubs after school education program, Project Learn, for improving his grades at school. As an active member in Jr. Staff, Geovanni acts as a GREAT example of leadership, responsibility and sportsmanship. His favorite recreational activity at the Club are the several games played in the Gym...especially soccer. He is also often seen in the computer lab, enjoying his favorite learning activities.
Both of Geovanny's parents work during the day and part of the evenings. If it wasn't for the Boys & Girls Club, both Geovanni and his younger brother would be home, alone, until their parents arrived from work. The Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place for many members, like Geovanny, to come after school. "I like the Staff...they teach me many life lessons." said Geovanni.
